Looking to start up other blogs

I am looking for other mothers who have had negative homebirth experiences that would be willing to be authors on a collaborative blog. It is time to make our voices heard!

In addition to that idea, I would also like to start a memorial blog strictly for homebirth loss moms to share their stories and maybe even a picture of their child.

If you are interested in either of these, you can contact me at momma6_2angels at yahoo.com

I guess if you had actually read the comments I made over at Liz's blog you would have noted that I did have a stillbirth at home, and that I had had hospital as well as homebirth experiences. Further, you would have seen that I am not totally "pro-homebirth" or totally "pro-hospital birth." I'm pro-let's make all the choices safe and cost effective and give young parents the best possible choices for starting their families. I'm also about treating women with respect and dignity. Telling me to pull a "stick out of my ass"tells me that extending that courtesy to others isn't in your agenda.

Before Christmas I found your blog and then Liz's blog and I wept over them and many of the ones in the side bar - but if grief is making this part of the blogisphere bitter and cruel, I want no part of it.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

You might check out http://hurtbyhomebirth.blogspot.com/. It may be just what you're looking for, without having to do all of the work yourself.

I think there needs to be a website where women can list their negligent CPMs, as there isn't any place for this now. negligent OBs and CNMs can be reported, and you can easily find out their stats and if they have been sued- there is NOTHING for negligent Lay midwives. And there are WAY too many negligent MWs that kill several babies and KEEP ON PRACTICING, like nothing has happened.

I didn't have a loss, but I would be willing to help with a site like that if anyone wants to put one up.
